The space

Once inside…

Inside The Tabernacle: the cosy double bed nestled beneath the stained glass window

Once inside you'll find a cosy double bed nestled beneath the beautiful stained glass window.

A pot belly stove to keep you warm on those chilly evenings and a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob and grill, Belfast sink and a small fridge with ice box. A gas boiler heats the water for the shower, wash basin and kitchen sink.

The shower room features a waterfall shower, wash basin and compost toilet. The Tabernacle is powered by solar so therefore runs on 12v power. There are USB charging points for charging mobile phones.

Good to know

  • Animal visitors

Phone signal can be quite variable in the area and some people find they can't pick up a signal in the Tabernacle – the perfect excuse to switch off.

  • No oven

  • Getting here

The lane down to the Tabernacle is a bumpy farm track which is unsuitable for low slung cars (or people who are precious about their cars!). There is somewhere else you could park nearby, but it is a 5 minute walk away.
